Virtual Gallery Stroll Planned for Park City

Park City galleries will have a chance to showcase their favorite pieces during a virtual gallery stroll.

The monthly gallery stroll, held on the last Friday, will happen in April through Facebook Live. Events will begin at 6 p.m. on April 24. The galleries in Park City are all currently closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jocelyn Scudder, executive director of the Park City-Summit County Arts Council, said the event will include 15-minute tours from a dozen galleries who will highlight their favorite pieces from local artists.

Additionally, people who order curbside or drive-thru from participating restaurants during the virtual stroll can receive a discount by using the code “arts.”

“Gallery strolls do bring people to their main streets. They go out, they dine and they shop,” Scudder said during the weeky Cultural Community call. “We wanted to make sure we are doing our best to emulate that model.”
